Careers
Marketing Analyst
As a marketing analyst for a UK halal meat supplier, you serve as the bridge between the butcher’s block and the boardroom by turning raw data into strategic growth. You spend a significant portion of your day monitoring consumer trends within the British Muslim community, identifying shifts in demand for specific products like organic poultry or pre-marinated cuts. You track sales performance across different regions and retail channels, from major supermarket aisles to local independent shops, to see which areas are performing best. Competitor benchmarking is another core duty, where you keep a close eye on pricing strategies and promotional offers from other meat wholesalers to ensure your company remains the top choice for retailers. During high-demand periods like Ramadan and Eid, you collaborate with the supply chain and logistics teams to forecast stock requirements so that no customer is left without. You also evaluate the success of digital marketing campaigns and ethnic media advertisements, using data to decide where the next pound of the marketing budget should be spent. By providing regular reports and actionable insights, you help the business navigate the complexities of the UK’s high-growth halal food sector.
Skills required:
- A university degree in marketing, business analytics, or economics is typically required.
- Mastery of data tools such as Excel, SQL, and Power BI is essential for daily analysis.
- A deep understanding of UK halal certification standards and cultural nuances is expected.
- Experience with Google Analytics and tracking digital campaign performance is highly valued.
- Strong communication skills are needed to explain complex data trends to stakeholders.
- The ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines during seasonal peaks is vital.
